I got this recipe off the Betty Crocker website and liked it because it didn't involve yeast. You see, I'm kind of afraid to work with yeast. It really intimidates me. My goal is to suck it up and work with it sometime soon but for now, I am happy to work without it.
However, even without the yeast I came across a problem. I wasn't paying attention and mixed all the ingredients together instead of having the separate garlic and butter sauce to brush over them. I was really worried about it but when The Husband sat down and bit into one he replied that they tasted like Red Lobster biscuits. Yay!
Cheese and Garlic Biscuits
2 cups Original Bisquick mix
2/3 cups of milk
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Heat oven to 450.
Stir Bisquick mix, milk, and cheese until soft dough forms. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Stir together butter and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway. Enjoy!
