TGIF! After an absolutely crazy week of work and The Husband being gone it was so nice to get to Friday, still have my sanity, and have to go to the airport to get his cute face. Earlier in the week, I had decided I wanted to make him pork chops when he got home because he absolutely loves them. With as much traveling as he does, he wants nothing more than a home cooked meal to make him feel at home.
There was just one problem.... I had NEVER cooked pork chops before. I get really intimidated working with food I have never cooked before. Whether it's pork chops or yeast, I just get really worried I will mess up and usually find something else to make. However, I couldn't change the menu this time. The Husband had a pretty terrible week away and I knew pork chops would make him happy.
Luckily, I found this super easy recipe on All Recipes. I had pinned it a few months ago and decided it looked Lizett proof enough that I would become the pork chop queen. It was easy, delicious, and The Husband gave it two thumps up while he chewed it with a look of bliss in his eyes (trust me, he was excited).
Mushroom Pork Chops
3 pork chops (I used boneless)
Salt, pepper, and garlic salt
1 chopped onion
1/2 pound of fresh, sliced mushrooms
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1. Season the chops with salt, pepper, and garlic salt
2. In a skillet, brown the pork chops over medium-high heat
Aren't they pretty? |
4. Pour in the cream of mushroom soup
5. Cover and cook for 20-30 minutes or until the pork chops are fully cooked
Drowning in deliciousness |
