Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. I love waking up early to star cooking dinner, watch the parade, football, and all the Thanksgiving Friends episodes. However, this year we bought a pre-cooked dinner because we both had to work at the retail stores for Black Friday. It was delicious but I really missed getting my own bird ready. After working so crazy early on Friday, our whole weekend was spent at home decorating for Christmas.

Darling, I'm a Nightmare Dressed Like a Daydream

It has been an extremely cold and snowy week here in the Springs. I am excited for it! The very beginning of November, I was driving around listening to Christmas music (I'm one of THOSE people) and thinking about how annoying it was that I had the windows rolled down because it was so hot. During this last week the city has transformed into a winter wonderland and made me super excited to pull out my scarves, gloves, and hats.

As much as I would like to say that I did something incredible this weekend, I really only did one thing. Besides a little shopping for gym attire, I have been watching Taylor Swift's new video for Blank Space on repeat. I'm not really a fan of hers but for some reason I can't get enough of the song and video. The video is awesome and the wardrobe is absolutely drool worthy.

Below are some my favorite looks from the video. All pictures except for the last one are from ET online.

Chocolate Oreo Pie

My office announced the Halloween potluck a few weeks ago and I spent days looking online for a fun recipe. I wanted to get all into theme but didn't want anything super hard in case I was just over it on a Thursday evening.

This recipe from AllRecipes looked like a winner right off the bat. It was simple and who doesn't love Oreos? The best part was I could add the silly candy eyeballs and theme it out.

Oreo Chocolate Pie
32 Oreos
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cups cold milk (I used skim)
2 packages chocolate instant pudding mix
1 8 ounce tub Cool Whip, thawed

1. Finely crush 24 of the cookies and mix with butter. Press firmly into pie plate.

2. Pour milk into large bowl. Add pudding mixes. Mix until well blended.

3. Spoon 1 1/2 cups of the pudding mix into crust. Stir 1/2 the whipped topping into the remaining pudding mix. Spread over pudding layer in crust. Chop remaining eight cookies and mix into remaining whipped topping. Spread over pie.

4.  Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

There was nothing left. NOTHING. Not even a crumb.

Lizett for the potluck win.
