Best Summer

I really think that Summer 2015 could be the best one I have had in a long time. I know, I know, it's only June but seriously; it's been awesome. Being back in Utah around family has been what's missing from the last four summers. So many people eagerly look forward to summer and I had never felt that way until now. Summer magic has finally taken over me and the long days are welcomed.

What have I been doing that's so magical? Nothing out of the ordinary. It's just nice to have people to hang out with and know that unplanned plans are the best kind of plans.

I have been hanging out at the pool

Eating yummy food

Hanging out at the ballpark

Watching fireworks as much as possible

Spending lots of time with my fam

And exploring everything new in Ogden. Seriously! It has grown so much and has so many awesome things going on.

We (my sisters included) spent all of today at Pineview Reservoir. It a big dam that people can swim, boat, or camp near. It had been years since I had gone swimming in a non-pool so it was great to be in the cold water and get to play around. I spent almost two straight hours in the water and was pretty sad when we had to leave. Hopefully we can get up there a few more times this summer.

Old Friend

These last few days The Husband and I were in beautiful Colorado. Don't get me wrong, I am so HAPPY to be back in Utah with my fan and friends. However, Colorado will always have a piece of my heart. I love rivers and, due to the insane amount of rain that Colorado has been getting, the Colorado River was raging.

We went to Glenwood Springs, which is one of the cutest little towns ever. After all the craziness of the previous week it was nice to relax and walk around. Below are some of the snapshots I took on the drive there and while walking around.

We had the most delicious dinner at a place called Smoke. I had the most amazing mac and cheese. Usually I am not a bacon person but it was a great addition. I'm getting hungry just writing about it. There was also a candy store with the best fudge. It was so good and I am sad it's gone.

There was crazy rain once we got back into Utah. We had to go like 5 m.p.h. for awhile. Not helping matters was the fact that there were two cars flipped over on I-15. Luckily everyone was okay but that doesn't help nerves.

June Weddings

One of my sorority sisters got married in Park City this past weekend. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to. Her ceremony was at the top of Park City Mountain Resort in the most picturesque venue you could imagine. The weather had us all worried but it ended up being perfection.

We got to ride the ski lift up to the top, which I had never done before. Once we reached the top we were greeted by a string quartet and incredible views. I cried like a baby as soon as she walked down the aisle. For the ride back down we got to ride the alpine slide. It was a little scary because I was in heels, a dress, and holding a clutch but I managed to keep my dignity and have a blast.

The reception was also amazing. It was great to dance and drink the night away with college friends. Some of us hadn't seen each other in a long time so the reunion was much needed. We ate the most delicious dinner ever! The lobster and lamb were my fave.

Overall it was a perfect evening filled with friends. dancing, and lots of alcohol. Basically all the things that make it party.
