Utah Pride

This weekend was filled with Utah Utes fun and it made me very nostalgic. Just stepping on the campus fills me with so much emotion. I spent some of the best years of my life there and it will always be a place I love visiting. Plus, I happen to think it's the most beautiful campus ever.

However, first came Friday night. We headed to Lagoon for my dad's company party. I hadn't been in years and it was a fun time. Plus, they have funnel cakes and churros so obviously it was a good time.

Our Saturday started with an amazing burger from Craft Burger and some indecisiveness on whether to head to Utah Fan Fest. We finally decided to just drive down and check it out and I am so glad we did. I had so much fun and it's amazing to see how much our athletic programs have grown. We were some of the first ones in so we were able to take some pictures before it was jam packed.

I didn't get any autographs from the players because the lines were huge but I had a total fan girl moment. Utah kicker Andy Phillips (who is amazing) is married to a girl named Megan. She used to write a blog called Classy Confessions that I enjoyed so much. She always came across as fun and down to earth. Sadly, she stopped writing to focus on family and school but I still love her. She was there with Andy and it took all my courage to go up to her and tell her I loved her blog. I didn't ask for a picture because she was holding their son but she was just as sweet as I imagined she would be and gave me a hug.

We ended up getting free tickets to the volleyball game and decided to go cheer them on. The Utes lost but it was a lot of fun to watch. I'm hoping to go to a few more but we'll see. We have tickets to a football game and I'm hoping to find some for the Homecoming game but that seems impossible right now. I'm sad the weekend is over but ready for the Utes to take on Michigan this Thursday. Go Utes!
