Weekend Fun

This past weekend was a blast. The Husband and I decided we wanted to spend the weekend with each other since we have been spending most of our weekends away or with others. Although I'm used to him traveling for work, this last week was hard. I missed him a lot and stayed up waiting for his delayed flight to land in Salt Lake at 1:30 a.m..

Saturday we stopped by Ogden's first ever Pride Festival. They had tons of food and some really fun performers. We weren't there very long because it felt like I was melting after about an hour. There's a restaurant nearby that I had been wanting to try so we headed to Harley and Bucks. It was a major win for us because they had the most amazing nachos. The atmosphere seemed really laid back and elegant at the same time. We are definitely going to go back for date night soon.

Yesterday was pretty much a perfect day. We had tickets to The Book of Mormon musical so brunch at Bambara was a must. I ordered the most amazing french toast. Seriously! My stomach is missing it; brunch will never be the same again. After we ate we had a few yummy drinks (duh) and then headed across the street for the musical. It was hilarious! I laughed non-stop for two hours. The main actor was amazing and I wish I could go watch it again and again. I may have downloaded the soundtrack on iTunes as soon as I got home.

Next weekend we will be headed off to Las Vegas. I can't wait but I also can't believe that it's August. The older I get the faster time goes by. I'm super excited for the trip but also a little bummed. It feels like it's our last summer hoorah and I am having too much fun to say good-bye.
